The Local Government Board of Puertollano has awarded the contract for maintaining the city’s acoustic emergency siren network, part of the External Emergency Plan (PEE), to Lafcarr Project & Design S.L., headquartered in Vilablareix (Girona).
The decision was reported by local outlet Ciudad Real Digital, highlighting the importance of maintaining this key public safety infrastructure.
Financial and technical details
The contract is valued at €18,792.26 per year (excluding VAT) and includes:
€10,584.00 for preventive maintenance
€8,208.26 for corrective maintenance
Lafcarr will oversee eight sirens located at key strategic sites in Puertollano, including:
Rooftop of the Youth Center
Near Santa Bárbara Hospital
Cultural Center (Numancia Street)
Labor Union Building (Juan Bravo Street)
Galileo Galilei High School
Juan de Távora High School
Sepes Industrial Park
El Villar and the Salesian School
Background and procedure
The current award follows a previous tender process initiated in November, which was declared void. That earlier contract had a total value of €76,021 through 2021. The new award ensures continuity of emergency alert coverage for the city’s most critical infrastructure.
