At the start of this year, Lafcarr Project & Design became a new member of the Andalusian Association of Irrigation Communities (FERAGUA).
Founded in 1994 and now regarded as the most representative body for irrigation in Andalusia, FERAGUA covers more than 300,000 hectares (33% of Andalusia's irrigated land) and is represented in every Andalusian river basin.
The association works in constant dialogue and cooperation with public authorities, taking an active part in public debate on the basis of core objectives and principles such as modernising irrigation, promoting renewable energy and protecting aquatic ecosystems. FERAGUA's main projects include DIANA, REDAWN, Reutivar and InvaRega.
The agreement will give Lafcarr greater representation before public authorities, more dialogue with Spain's National Federation of Irrigation Communities (FENACORE) and access to the communication and information services of common interest to members. In turn, Lafcarr will contribute expertise to those communication and information services, to training and R&D&I services and to innovation projects.
Lafcarr is delighted to be part of the association and looks forward to working successfully with its members to achieve all the goals they set
