On 2 January 2023, the Local Government Board awarded Lafcarr Project & Design the maintenance of Puertollano's chemical risk public warning sirens under the External Emergency Plan agreement.
The contract will run for two years and may be extended for a further two.
In addition to maintenance, Lafcarr will provide the town council with a complete mobile unit in case any of the sirens is out of service for a long period.
